Over 150 enei Members gathered on the 12th of June at the House of Lords for the enei Parliamentary Reception.
Our patron, Baroness Ruby McGregor Smith CBE, welcomed participants, encouraging organisations who want to be ahead in terms of diversity to publish their data. “Show where you are, where you are going to; show what you are intending to do. That really matters for staff” she said.
She encouraged participants to make the workplace even more inclusive and ensure that organisations are fit for the new generations that are coming into work.
Harry Gaskell, enei Chair and Chief Innovation Officer, EY, reminded participants that we live in revolutionary times and that this has an impact on the Diversity & Inclusion landscape. He mentioned in particular the impact of the #metoo movement and the publication of the gender pay gap, saying: “There is really no hiding place now for men to behave in the way they have behaved for generations at work”.
He concluded by reminding Members about enei’s achievement in the last year and thanking them for their continuous support.
