Black and minority ethnic workers are a third more likely to be “trapped” in temporary and insecure work, new research suggests.

A study by the TUC indicated that BAME workers are faring worse than white workers in the jobs market.

There are 3.9 million BAME working people in the UK and they are more than twice as likely to be on agency contracts as white workers, said the trade union movement.

They are also more likely to be on zero-hours contracts and in temporary work, according to the research.
