  • Being Disabled in Britain - EHRC launches new report

The EHRC has launched its "Being Disabled in Britain: a journey less equal" report into disability inequality. The report confirmed that less than half of disabled adults in Britain were in employment (47.6%) compared to 80% of non-disabled people, and that disabled young people aged 16-18 were at least twice as likely as their non-disabled peers to be NEET.

The report also found that the disability pay gap has increased, and that very low numbers of disabled people are taking up apprenticeships.
