The Future is Agile

  • 19th February 2018
  • 13:00 - 16:00
  • Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh EH99 1SP

This is a free event, however there will be a £50 plus VAT admin charge for non-attendance or cancellations received less than 5 days prior to the event.

This roundtable will be an excellent opportunity to network with other organisations as well as be part of a facilitated roundtable that will give you a chance to explore issues relating to Flexible and Agile working in your workplace.

In a recent survey conducted by enei, only 52% of respondents believe they understand the difference between Agile Working and Flexible Working however 69% or respondents expect to see an increase in the number of Agile Workers in the next 5 years and 69% believed that Agile Working contributes towards the success of the organisation

Agile working is often confused with flexible working.  The latter can be viewed as an employee benefit with associated costs and disadvantages to the organisation, however, true agile working is a transformational tool to allow organisations to work smarter by eliminating the barriers to efficient working and maximise cost efficiencies.

In this event we will explore

  • An overview of what agile working is
  • How it differs from flexible working
  • What the benefits of agile working are (both for the organisation and employees)
  • How agility can be achieved
  • Guidance on how to manage agile workers
  • Practical tips about the common problems organisations encounter when implementing agile working and how to avoid them
  • Hear from other organisations on the work they are doing in this area – Scottish Parliament – on supporting Ministers and employees with family friendly commitments and utility organisations on their experience of flexible and agile working implementation.
