There are around 600,000 people working with cancer in the UK. This number is expected to double over the next 10 to 15 years.

For those affected by cancer, work is important. A job can restore a sense of normality and well-being as well contributing to financial independence, but many cancer survivors find returning to work a struggle as they deal with cancer’s short or longer term side effects.

This introductory session, led by Becky Brooks and produced in conjunction with Working With Cancer, will enable you to understand how to support those with cancer in the in a sensitive but practical way.

Programme Overview:

  • The challenges of managing work and cancer
  • The Equality Act 2010 and an employer's responsibilities

  • Sources of support
