The Service is looking for a Positive Action Officer on an initial 2 year fixed term contract to be responsible for:

  • Engaging with current staff, partners and the wider communities of Peterborough and Cambridgeshire
  • Understanding what barriers may prevent under-represented groups accessing employment and progression opportunities within the Fire Service
  • Researching, designing, assisting in the delivery and measure impact of positive action and engagement activities with the specific aim of increasing the diversity of our workforce

 

To be considered for this role, here are some of the requirements you must meet:

  • Experience of working and engaging with under-represented communities
  • The skills to research, plan, deliver and evaluate relevant engagement activities
  • Demonstrate ability to get people on side and support ideas
