Reporting to the Chief Executive, the purpose of the role is to:

  • Manage, coordinate and lead enei’s Training and Consultancy function to deliver a broad based diversity and inclusion service to a wide range of enei Members and non-Members.
  • Secure Training & Consultancy business to meet Income Generation targets.
  • Lead and direct the Training and Consultancy agenda ensuring the organisation operates on a secure financial and administrative basis in line with enei’s charitable objects.
  • Ensure enei develops its profile as a national and international leading source of diversity and inclusion Training and Consultancy.
  • Ensure programmes meet deliverables; deadlines and are completed within budget.
  • Manage and develop Training and Consultancy team members.
  • Oversee (and develop) a network of associates to deliver Training and Consultancy services.
  • Gather and share D&I best practice with other team Members and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver research, products, services and events that reflects Members’ and potential Member’s business needs and generates income.
  • Ensure enei maintains its profile as the UK’s leading employer network covering all aspects of equality and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to promote and market Training & Consultancy.
  • Actively convert non-Members into Membership.

Responsibilities:

  • Secure Training & Consultancy business to meet Income Generation Targets.
  • Report on key performance indicators, eg delivery, pipeline, Member / Client satisfaction etc.
  • Develop and execute the Training & Consultancy Strategy & Plan.
  • Act upon feedback from colleagues, partners, Members and potential Members to propose and implement improvements to the Training and Consultancy proposition, brand & materials including Member products and services as necessary.
  • Monitor and analyse key competitor’s products and services.
  • Explore ways to increase enei Membership and improve existing products and services.
  • Represent enei at external meetings and act as a media spokesperson as appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver high quality outputs that encourage organisations to join as Members.
  • Ensure processes and controls both manage risk and deliver outstanding Member service.
  • Monitor progress and produce regular management information reports.
  • Identify new and innovative ways to engage with prospective T&C Consultancy clients.
  • Design and deliver new training material to drive enei’s competitive position.
  • Oversee and agree the creation of content, e-learning, collateral and other training materials to support the delivery of high impact behaviour-changing training.
  • Gather Satisfaction data to measure delivery quality, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Maintain knowledge of training and consultancy trends, practices and technology in order to ensure enei’s service remains competitive and innovative.
  • Model best practice in T&C activities in order to ensure high-level performance.
  • Develop case studies on organisations who have used enei’s T&C services.
  • Deepen relationships with Members with particular reference to the Executive Steering Committee and other leading organisations to maximise Member retention and engagement.
  • Represent enei externally to Government, in the media, at events, conferences etc.

Skills/Experience:

  • Income generating skills are essential, as well as being target driven and outcome focused.
  • Ideally, broad HR and/or D&I experience at a senior level in commercial revenue generating businesses. Global D&I experience would be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of D&I Training & Consultancy.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal, visual and in writing.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Strategic and creative thinking.
  • Well organised and methodical.
  • Ideally, CIPD qualified or holder of a professional qualification to degree level.
