Job Title: Equality & Diversity Manager
Location: Hertford
Salary Range: £41,025 pa progressing to £43,821 pa
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent

Job Duties:

Join us to continue to deliver our vision as a County of Opportunity.  We’re looking for someone to work with us to lead our Equality and Diversity work driving forward improvements and integrating our Equality Strategy into all aspects of service delivery.

You’ll work closely with our Diversity Board, Service Departments and Resources teams as well as other partners to champion our Equalities agenda and develop and manage our equalities work programme. As well as leading specific initiatives and supporting managers and staff with general equalities advice, you’ll support and challenge services to embed equalities considerations in their work and identify and implement new opportunities for improvements.

You will have excellent interpersonal and networking skills, proven change management experience and the determination to develop positive relationships and influence people at all levels within HCC and partner organisations to further the E&D agenda. You’ll also have the tenacity and resilience to drive forward change in complex and ambiguous environments.
